Haripal Maharaj, BABAJI’s maternal grandfather, was born in Trinidad in the West Indies after his parents moved there from India. As a young man, Guru NANAJI predicted that he would leave his body at the age of 100. In fact it was Guru NANAJI who began to impart spiritual wisdom upon the young BABAJI whom at the time was only 9 years old. True to his prediction, at 100 years of age, Guru NANAJI took samadhi (intentional departure from the physical body; also referred to as Maha Samadhi).
